Annette is a partner with Capital River Wealth Management and has been an integral member of the team since 2006. Prior to joining CRWM, Annette began her career by building client relationships as an account executive, alumni relations director, and system analyst. In her role with Capital River Wealth Management, Annette oversees marketing and business operations and works in partnership with the entire team to create a seamless experience for clients.
Annette is passionate about the importance of financial planning, a quality that was developed through her own personal experiences. Her enthusiasm for financial planning began as a teenager when her parents, a blue-collar working family, partnered with Northwestern Mutual to implement their own personal financial plan. The plan that Annette’s parents put in place has guided their family through many financial vulnerabilities, and thanks to annual check-ups, this living plan has evolved with the family’s needs and is still in place to this day. While it was unknown to Annette at the time, the plan that her parents put in place over 50 years ago created a path for generational planning and the opportunity to meet Dan Schiffman, the Founder of Capital River Wealth Management. That meeting would eventually lead to a partnership that has changed the course of both Dan and Annette’s careers.
In addition to her passion for financial planning, Annette genuinely enjoys connecting people. One of the most rewarding aspects of her career is exploring how Capital River Wealth Management can better serve their community and working to bring people together. You will see Annette out and about as a Rotarian with Key City Rotary and as a member with the Frederick Chamber of Commerce. Annette is also a graduate of Leadership Frederick County (Class of 2022) and a supporter of the local charitable organization, Heartly House.
Annette is a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and Mount St. Mary's University where she earned her MBA. Annette also holds the Maryland life, health, variable annuity and long-term care insurance licenses, and the Series 7 and 63 securities registrations.
